Panels from cross-laminated timber CLT
CLT panels are a solid timber construction material fastened together in many layers. Usually the panels consist of several layers, the number of which depends on the intended use of these panels. Owing to criss-cross sizing under high pressure in the press, the wood swelling and shrinking characteristics are reduced to a minimum.
Owing to the new material it has become possible to build houses to different heights. Since the panels are semi-finished products, the building process is characterized by less time consumption and waste reduction.
CLT panels are a universal material used as large-sized elements of the walls, ceilings and roofs; they can be also used in combination with the other building materials, such as concrete, brick, steel, glass, etc.
МНМ massive wood technology
Environmental friendliness. MHM panels do not emit toxic substances and do not contain hazardous chemicals.
Energy efficiency. The houses made from MHM panels are warmer than houses made from conventional timber strip. Houses built according to MHM technology possess excellent heat-conserving characteristics and warm up quickly when heating systems are switched on.
No-shrink property. MHM panels to not crack or warp; that is why the walls made from them have no holes.
Affordability. The price of a house made from MHM panels is lower than the price of a similar erection from laminated or solid beams.
Quick assembly. A house made from MHM panels can be assembled literally within a fortnight.
Apart from the benefits mentioned above, it is worth noting that because of the specific chamber drying MHM panels are not of any interest to insects therefore the houses made from them are notable for their reliability and durability. The walls made according to MHM technology are environmentally sound, absolutely harmless both for people and the environment; only timber without any adhesive compositions is used in their production. МНМ technology is based on the non-application of any chemical protection of timber. During thermal drying to the humidity of 9-10% biological contamination of timber is completely avoided. Wall panels with the humidity of 9-10% do not require supplementary anticeptic treatment.
Technological efficiency. МНМ technology means that the panels consisting of multiple layers of dry 20-23mm planks of random width are fastened together crosswise with aluminium fingers with specific knurling. Each of the planks of the wall panel at the side edge has a rebating (half-groove) for the purpose of joining with the adjacent planks, which excludes the wall “blowing”. The non-face side of the plank along its entire surface has longtitudal 2х3 mm grooves that enhance the heat conductivity and air permeability of the wall panel. The thickness of the panels can be up to 120- 340mm. Owing to the use of timber with an artificial humidity of 9-10%, which possesses high insulation properties attributable to the physical properties of the wood and crosswise layers of the wall, the panels made according to МНМ technology have high heatproof and soundproof properties, high seismic performance, high fire-resisting properties, they are windproof, resistant to high-frequency vibration, non-shrinkable, and their shape is stable. The advantages of МНМ panels are their stiffness, resistance bearing, and technological efficiency of house assembly in comparison with the other construction types. Inasmuch as wood is an air-permeable material it produces an air conditioning effect. Аs to the thermal insulation properties, the said panels surpass even walls made from logs and beams.
Sound insulation. Sound insulation of the walls made according to МНМ technology amounts to 48dB. MHВ panels were tested in the construction material laboratory in Leipzig (Germany) and they successfully passed the sound insulation test.
Reliability. Alongside the benefits mentioned, such as thermal capacity, humidity balance and warm surface, the walls made according to MASSIV-HOLZ-MAUER technology reflect about 97.5 % of the omnipresent high frequency radiation and electric smog of the house. Due to multiple layers, MHM technology has considerable advantages over frame-panel technology with its fireproof properties. Minimal admissible time of the loss of the capacity bearing of the walls during a fire is 30 min, so that the people may have time to leave the premises. Houses built according to МНМ technology three and more times exceed this time limit.
Теchnology of erection of monolithic ferroconcrete foundation, underground premises and semi-basement floor
The monolithic foundation of the house is one of the most common types of foundation famous for its excellent performance properties. Durability means long service life compared to brick and piled foundation. Correct and even reallocation of load from large mass constructions. Tolerance to aggressive temperature and climatic effects, reliability during shrinking of the house. Good bearing properties, can be erected on floating and frosty ground. Capable of forming a foundation for any house construction irrespective of the complexity of architectural solution.
